I took Amtrak down to Philly after work for this. I love going to shows in Philly. It’s only 90ish minutes away, and the venues are great. This one, though, was hot. Before the show even started, it was packed wall to wall, and on an already hot day, it was so hot and humid from all the bodies inside that water on condensating on to everything, including the floor and the stage. I struggled to stay hydrated with the heat, but luckily I was close enough to the bar to get water a couple times.

umru’s set was fantastic, and underscores was amazing, but I ended up leaving a little early because of the heat, which allowed me to get on an earlier train instead of taking 66, which sits in Philly for three hours while Amtrak closes the corridor for track work. I got home, drenched in so much sweat and so tired at 2am instead of 5am.
